WAUKEGAN, Ill. (AP) -A woman charged with murder in the 2007 shooting death of the pregnant girlfriend of former Chicago Bears All-Pro safety Shaun Gayle has been ordered held without bond.
Lake County Associate Judge Raymond Collins on Wednesday also set a March 19 status hearing for 41-year-old Marni Yang.
The judge also heard details of Rhoni Reuter’s death during the hearing.
Prosecutor Jeff Pavletic contends Yang went to Reuter’s Deerfield home and shot her seven times out of jealousy over Reuter’s relationship with Gayle.
Pavletic says authorities have surveillance tapes in which Yang can be heard telling another person how she disposed of the gun.
