ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) – A person with knowledge of the deal says the Oakland Raiders have agreed with defensive tackle John Henderson on an $8 million, two-year contract.
The person confirmed the deal first reported by ESPN on Thursday on condition of anonymity because it had not been announced by the team. Henderson had 30 tackles in nine games last season for Oakland while being limited by a foot injury.
The Raiders have announced that they used the franchise tag on linebacker Kamerion Wimbley and have re-signed running back Rock Cartwright. Oakland has also reportedly agreed to a long-term deal with potential free agent cornerback Stanford Routt.
