INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Receiver Michael Crabtree confirms he will delay surgery on his injured foot until after running the 40-yard dash at his personal workout for NFL teams next month.
In an odd scene at the annual combine, Crabtree strolled quickly across the room, up a couple of steps, smiled at reporters and then read a 20-second statement. He did not take questions.
Coaches were informed during Saturday’s workouts that Crabtree had been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot. Crabtree was told he would need surgery and his recovery would take up to 10 weeks. He said he was not in pain and that it was an old injury.
