KINGSPORT, Tenn. (AP) -Jacksonville Jaguars safety Gerald Sensabaugh was arrested last week for driving on a suspended license in his hometown of Kingsport in East Tennessee.
The arrest Friday was Sensabaugh’s third by police there since 2007. He was charged with reckless driving in May 2008 and stopped in March 2007 for speeding. During that stop, police found a loaded 9mm pistol along with another loaded magazine.
He was arrested for carrying a firearm without a permit, but the charge was eventually dropped.
According to a police report, officer Amanda Lunsford saw Sensabaugh’s black Bentley circling a block around 2 p.m. Friday and arrested him after discovering his license had been suspended for “multiple violations” and failure to satisfy a citation.
Guns were found in Sensabaugh’s possession during Friday’s arrest, but he was not charged for having them. The Kingsport-Times News reported Lunsford said he had a permit to carry them.
