ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -The Buffalo Bills re-signed linebacker and special teams player John DiGiorgio on Wednesday.
In six games with the Bills this past season, DiGiorgio finished with six special teams tackles. He was placed on injured reserve after tearing a ligament in his knee on a punt return in the second quarter against San Diego in Week 7.
DiGiorgio had his best season as a pro in 2007, when he made 14 starts, including 13 at middle linebacker after rookie Paul Posluszny broke his forearm. DiGiorgio ranked second on the team with a career-high 137 tackles and a pair of sacks that year.
DiGiorgio joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2006 out of Saginaw Valley State.
