INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Colts president Bill Polian is wasting no time getting ready for the new season.
He’d like to give four-time MVP Peyton Manning a contract extension. He wants to re-sign defensive captain Gary Brackett. He’s focusing on the draft and doing everything he can to get the Colts another Super Bowl title.
Less than a week after losing to the Saints and four days after blaming Indy’s offensive line for the problems in the Super Bowl, Polian tried to turn the page. Though he called 2009 a “great” season, particularly after losing so many key players to season-ending injuries, he acknowledged he is already contemplating what needs to be done in 2010.
Polian says the Colts will take a short break before making any evaluations.
