ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) – The Buffalo Bills have signed backup safety Jon Corto to a contract extension.
The move was announced Friday and prevents the third-year player from becoming a restricted free agent. Corto, who is from Orchard Park, has been primarily used on special teams in Buffalo.
He appeared in 11 games last season after opening the year on the physically-unable-to-perform list after having surgery in July on a broken left wrist.
Corto was signed by the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Sacred Heart in 2007.
