DALLAS (AP) – The long, cold week for Super Bowl organizers has taken an even worse turn.
On Friday, six people were hurt when they were struck by ice falling off the roof of Cowboys Stadium. None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, but the accident added to the general sense of frustration with cold weather around the Dallas area this week.
Ice, snow and bitter cold have made it harder to celebrate ahead of the NFL’s signature event at its signature stadium, the $1.2 billion brainchild of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
