PHOENIX (AP) – Super Bowl Sunday got off to an inconvenient start for hundreds of passengers trying to get to Phoenix for today’s game.
Much of metropolitan Phoenix was blanketed by uncharacteristically dense fog Sunday morning.
Officials at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport say the fog led to 30 arriving and departing flights being canceled. Another 80 flights coming and going were also delayed.
Airport officials say travelers should check their flight status with the airline.
Kickoff for the match-up between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. MST at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
