INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -The Indianapolis Colts have spent the past month waiting for a second chance at the New York Jets.
On Sunday, in the AFC Championship game, they’ll finally have a chance to redeem themselves.
The last time these teams met, in late December, Colts coach Jim Caldwell pulled his starters in the third quarter of a 15-10 game. That allowed the Jets to rally for a 29-15 victory and clinch a playoff spot the next week.
New York hasn’t lost since, winning four straight, three of those on the road to make it back to their first title game since the 1998 season.
The Colts want to prove they did the right thing by keeping their starters healthy for the playoffs. A win Sunday would prove it.
