EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Brett Favre has defied his age this season for the Vikings.
At 40 years old, Favre will become the oldest quarterback to start a conference championship game when Minnesota visits New Orleans for a spot in the Super Bowl.
Favre has long had a league-wide reputation for playing football with an infectious, boyish enthusiasm. The Vikings have fed off of that style to make it to the NFC championship game.
Equally notable is Favre’s ability to keep his body healthy and get up from all those hard hits. Since taking over as the starter for the Green Bay Packers early in the 1992 season, Favre has never missed a game.
