NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – A person familiar with the situation says Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher has decided not to keep Chuck Cecil as his defensive coordinator after two seasons in which the Titans ranked among the NFL’s worst in yards allowed.
Fisher informed Cecil on Thursday of his decision, the person told The Associated Press Thursday on condition of anonymity because the Titans had not publicly announced the move.
The Titans were not immediately available for comment.
The Tennessean first reported the move.
Fisher promoted Cecil to coordinator from linebackers coach after Jim Schwartz left for Detroit two years ago.
