FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – The New York Jets might be the biggest blabbermouths in NFL history.
So far, they’ve backed up their tough talk and moved within a win of reaching the Super Bowl for the first time since their biggest boaster – Joe Namath – made good on the boldest prediction of all.
Coach Rex Ryan’s brash bunch might not be the NFL’s most lovable group, but sure have made lots of noise during its run to the AFC championship game.
Defensive lineman Sione Pouha said Monday the jabbering Jets are “confident talkers,” not trash talkers, and “everybody’s true to their colors.”
Pouha says it offends him and his teammates when people say they’re “classless.”
New York (13-5) plays at Pittsburgh (13-4) on Sunday night.
