FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) – New York Jets wide receiver-kick returner Brad Smith is not active for the team’s divisional playoff game against the New England Patriots because of a strained groin.
Smith was injured in last week’s playoff-opening victory at Indianapolis. He will be replaced on kickoff returns by Antonio Cromartie, who had a key return on the Jets’ winning drive.
Cornerback Drew Coleman, the team’s nickel back and a key special teams player, is active for the Jets after injuring a knee in practice Thursday.
Patriots defensive lineman Myron Pryor is not active for the game Sunday. Pryor missed seven games, played against Miami in the regular-season finale and was injured in that game.
Running back Fred Taylor is also inactive.
