NEW ORLEANS (AP) -Kurt Warner has returned to Arizona’s divisional playoff game against New Orleans after missing a series with a chest injury.
Warner left in the second quarter after a hard hit on an interception return, but was back on the field for the Cardinals’ first drive after halftime.
Warner was pursuing Will Smith, who intercepted his pass, when he was knocked down by defensive end Bobby McCray.
It was one of three significant injuries for the Cardinals in a painful first half, when they fell behind 35-14.
Earlier, the beleaguered Arizona secondary lost two key players. Pro Bowl cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie left with a sprained left knee. His return was doubtful. Safety Antrel Rolle left with a head injury, and his return was questionable.
