KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) – The Baltimore Ravens say the disappearance of Ed Reed’s brother hasn’t affected the Pro Bowl safety as he prepares for Sunday’s AFC wild-card game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Reed’s brother has been missing since Friday, when Louisiana officials say a man matching his description jumped into the Mississippi River after being confronted by a deputy.
Ravens spokesman Patrick Gleason said Reed was with the team for meetings Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning and was “the same Ed Reed.”
Reed’s mother says investigators found 28-year-old Brian Reed’s shoes and jacket near St. Rose, La. Karen Reed also says the car the man ran from belonged to another brother.
Ed Reed leads the NFL with eight interceptions this season.
