SAN DIEGO (AP) -It’s clear that the San Diego Chargers’ championship-starved fans expect nothing less than a Super Bowl title.
While coach Norv Turner is confident in his team, especially in the wake of its 11 straight wins, he’s not going to let anyone in the locker room get ahead of themselves.
Turner says he spoke with his players after their comeback win against Washington about how teams have to go out and earn what they want.
He also says if anyone should know about not jumping to foregone conclusions, it’s the Chargers. Three years ago, they were 14-2 and locked up home-field advantage throughout the playoffs, then gagged in their opener against New England.
San Diego (13-3) is the AFC’s No. 2 seed and has a first-round bye.
