BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A person familiar with Chip Kelly's plans has confirmed the Oregon coach will interview for the Buffalo Bills' coaching vacancy Friday.
The person said the interview will take place a day after the fifth-ranked Ducks play Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl in Scottsdale, Ariz. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills and Kelly haven't revealed the meeting will take place.
USA Today first reported that Kelly was scheduled to interview with Buffalo.
The interview is set to take place in Arizona, where the Bills have spent the past two days interviewing Cardinals defensive coordinator Ray Horton and former Arizona coach Ken Whisenhunt, who was fired Monday.
Kelly is known for his up-tempo offense that has made Oregon a national power.
