FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -Cornerback Donald Strickland will miss the New York Jets’ game against the Cincinnati Bengals with a strained quadriceps, while punter Steve Weatherford is questionable with a tweaked hamstring.
Coach Rex Ryan said Weatherford was a full participant in practice Friday, but injured his right hamstring. Ryan said the Jets will work out other punters Saturday as a backup plan.
Kicker Jay Feely would be the emergency punter if Weatherford plays and aggravates the injury Sunday night.
Strickland was injured last Sunday while sacking Indianapolis backup quarterback Curtis Painter. He has already missed six games with other injuries.
Defensive end Shaun Ellis is questionable after being sent home with an illness.
