Rushing Yards Props
Oddsmakers have established prop odds for the 2009 NFL Season have made Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson the favorite to compile the most rushing yards this year. Oddsmakers from online sports book Sports Interaction have made Peterson an 11/4 favorite to compile the most rushing yards of any running back in the league this season. Those odds better Michael Turner (11/2), DeAngelo Williams (15/2), Chris Johnson (15/2), Marion Barber (9/1) and Matt Forte (9/1). Its easy to understand by Peterson is the favorite to rack up the most rushing yards this season given the outstanding offensive line Minnesota has. Plus, even though Chester Taylor is a viable backup, the Vikings once again plan on using Peterson almost exclusively, so AP should get plenty of touches in 09. Turner is a solid bet at 11/2, given how much the Falcons love to run the ball, although they plan on cutting his carries down this season and giving backup Jerious Norwood a chance to see some carries. Williams, Johnson and Barber are all incredibly hard runners, although each of them find themselves sharing backfield duties. Forte might be the best value at 9/1. Chicago doesnt have the best offensive line in the NFL, but the until is solid enough to give Forte some holes. Plus, even though Kevin Jones was brought aboard last year, Forte should once again see the bulk of the carries so he should rack up the yardage.
