Super Bowl XLVIII Odds
(The Spread) – The field is set for the 2014 NFL Playoffs. Here is an updated look at the odds to win Super Bowl XLVIII.
According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Seattle Seahawks are the favorites to win it all, as Seattle has odds of 11/4 to win. Other short odds to win are the Denver Broncos (3/1), the San Francisco 49ers (7/1) and the New England Patriots (9/1).
Seattle owns the top seed in the NFC after going 13-3 this season. The Seahawks simply have to win at home to reach the Super Bowl this season. Seattle was 7-1 at home this season and outscored its opponents by an average of 11.6 points per game.
Denver will be the No. 1 seed in the AFC after going 13-3 this year. The Broncos won’t have to leave town in order to reach the Super Bowl, but that was the case last year when they lost to Baltimore in their first playoff game. Denver outscored opponents by an average of 12.9 points per game.
San Francisco went 12-4 this season, but is the No. 5 seed in the NFC because Seattle won the NFC West. The 49ers will head to Green Bay to start the postseason, but San Francisco is the defending NFC champion. The 49ers outscored opponents by an average of 8.4 points per game.
Despite dealing with a lot of injuries this season, New England went 12-4 and won the AFC East. The Patriots are the No. 2 seed in the AFC. The Patriots went 8-0 at home this year, but may still have to hit the road to win the conference title. New England outscored opponents by an average of 6.6 points.
