Jets vs. Bears Free Pick

According to current NFL Week 16 odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Bears are 1-point favorites over the Jets this Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 36 but could change depending on the weather in Chicago leading up to kickoff.
The Jets beat the Steelers last Sunday to improve to 10-4 on the year and are now 8-6 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re also 6-1 on the road this season and 5-2 against the spread in those seven games.
The Bears also improved to 10-4 with their win over the hapless Vikings on Monday night. They also covered as a 7-point favorite to improve to 7-6-1 against the spread overall, which includes a 3-4 ATS record at home.
NFL Week 16 Free Pick:
The Bears have played in a couple of high scoring games the past two weeks (whether they were doing the scoring or they were the ones being scored on). The weather didn’t affect their offense last Monday night in Minnesota but expect another snowy day in Chicago. At some point, the Bears are going to play one of those tight, low-scoring games where the total falls well under. With the defensive-minded Jets coming to town, we think it’ll be one of those such games today. Mark Sanchez has struggled the past two weeks putting the ball in the air and the Jets won’t be able to run the ball with much success against Chicago’s stout front seven. On the other side, the Bears’ receivers won’t have as much success getting free in New York’s secondary with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie manning the corners. This has 13-10 written all over it. Our pick is the under, which is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams.
