Colts vs. Chiefs Predictions
KANSAS CITY, MO (ATS Consultants) – The Indianapolis Colts are inching closer to securing a spot in the AFC playoff picture but will need a win versus the Kansas City Chiefs today. Will Indy cover in the process?
NFL Odds: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Colts are 6.5-point favorites versus the Chiefs, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 41.5 points. Indianapolis is 9-5 overall and 3-4 on the road, while Kansas City is 2-12 overall and 1-6 at home this season.
Line Movement: The Colts opened as 6-point favorites but the line has been bet up to 6.5 or even 7 at some books. The total, meanwhile, opened at 43 but has been bet down to 41.5.
Public Betting: Of the wagers currently placed on this game, 89% of NFL public bettors currently favor the Colts. This information is subject to change leading up to kickoff, however, so make sure you click on the link provided for the most up-to-date NFL public betting numbers.
NFL Playoff Free Pick: Take Indianapolis. According to latest NFL trends, Indianapolis is 5-1 ATS L6 on the road in series. This has been a very long season in Kansas City for a variety of reasons. While their defense has been trying, their offense is inept, as they average just 320.1ypg overall and 181 ypg in the air. Indianapolis' pass defense is their weakness but they won't be tested against a Chiefs' squad that is without their best receiver in Dwayne Bowe, who is on the IR. The Chiefs allow 26.2ppg and average a miniscule 13.9ppg. They were shutout last week against one of the worst defenses in the league, 15-0 by the Oakland Raiders. The Colts can clinch a playoff berth with a win so they can't afford to overlook a Chiefs team who has played competitively at home. QB Andrew Luck will bounce back this week.
