Raiders-Broncos Pick
AFC West rivals square off in Week 15 when the Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders at 4:05PM ET on Sunday.
The Raiders lost to the Redskins 34-13 as a 2.5-point under dog in Week 14, while the combined score went over the posted total of 37.5 points. Bruce Gradkowski threw for 153 yards for Oakland, while Justin Fargas rushed for 21 yards and a touchdown in the loss.
The Broncos lost to the Colts 28-16 as a 6.5-point underdog in Week 14, as the combined score went over the posted total of 43.5 points. Kyle Orton threw for 227 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, while Brandon Marshall caught 21 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns.
Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Broncos 14-point favorites over the Raiders in Week 15. The over/under total for Sunday’s game has been set at 37 points.
The Raiders are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven games when playing Denver and 4-1 ATS in their last five games when playing on the road against the Broncos. Meanwhile, Denver is just 2-5 against the number in its last seven games, although it’s 4-2 ATS in its last six games at home.
The public is going to jump on the Broncos because Charlie Frye is starting for the Raiders, but we’re taking a different approach. The Raiders have actually played hard in games that JaMarcus Russell doesn’t start, so getting 14 points with them on Sunday represents some value.
Russell is horrendous, so as long as he doesn’t see the field the Raiders are a solid bet. They’ve played the Broncos close of late, and their secondary is capable of containing Marshall.
Our free pick prediction for this game is Oakland +14 and the over 37. We think the Raiders are going to surprise some folks today and the public is going to take a bath by taking the Broncos.
Our NFL Week 15 Free Pick for this matchup is: OAKLAND RAIDERS +14 and OVER 37.
