Texans vs. Titans Free Pick
The Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans have already been eliminated from playoff contention, so the only thing on the line this Sunday is pride for these two teams. Continue reading for picks, odds and more on this Week 15 NFL matchup.
According to Week 15 NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Titans are 1-point favorites against the Texans on Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 47.5 points.
The Texans fell to 5-8 after losing to the Ravens on Monday night. They also failed to cover and are now 5-8 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re 2-4 on the road this year, and have covered in just three of those six games.
The Titans also dropped to 5-8 last week with their lose to the Colts, although they pulled off a backdoor cover and are now 6-7 against the number. They’re 2-5 at home this season and 3-4 against the spread at LP Field.
NFL Week 15 Free Pick:
This is a trap. The Texans nearly took out the Ravens with one of the best comebacks of the season on Monday night and the Titans have struggled mightily over the past month (although they did come back against the Colts last Thursday to cover as a 3-point underdog). So why wouldn’t everyone jump on Houston with the line sitting at 1? Houston is 1-5 against the number in the last six games following an ATS loss and 1-5 ATS in their last six games as an underdog. They’re also 1-6 ATS in their last seven games on grass and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games overall. Kerry Collins shouldn’t have much trouble moving the ball against a hapless Texans’ defensive backfield and Chris Johnson should have a field day not having to be worried about facing Mario Williams (IR) on Houston’s defensive line. Our pick is the Titans -1.
