JACKSONVILLE: The Jaguars are coming off a 17-10 loss to the Jets at home. Jacksonville has lost nine of their last 10 games coming into this week. The loss to the Jets was a defensive struggle for both teams as each had under 300 yards of offense. Jacksonville held the Jets to 270 yards but amassed just 291 yards on their own. Quarterback Chad Henne had his worst outing as a starter for Jacksonville, going just 21 of 43 passing for 185 yards with two interceptions. One bright spot in the loss was running back Montell Owens, who had 91 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown.

MIAMI: The Dolphins are coming off a 27-13 loss to the 49ers last Sunday. Miami has now lost five of their last six games after getting off to a 4-3 start to the season. Miami really struggled on offense against the talented 49ers’ defense, racking up just 227 total yards with one turnover and two sacks allowed. Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 150 yards on 17 of 33 passing with one touchdown and no interceptions. Tannehill has thrown for under 200 yards in three of his last four games, completing just 44 of 90 pass attempts in those three outings. The Dolphins didn’t have an awful showing on defense against San Francisco, but allowed 155 rushing yards.

ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Dolphins are 7-point favorites versus the Jaguars, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 37 points. Miami is 5-8 on the season, 3-3 at home and 6-7 against the spread. Jacksonville is 2-11 on the season, 1-5 on the road and 6-7 against the spread.

TRENDS: The road team and the favorite come into this series 3-1-1 against the spread in the last 5 meetings between these two teams. Jacksonville is 6-1 against the spread in their last 7 road games but just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in December. Miami is just 24-52-1 ATS in their last 77 home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games following a loss.
