MIAMI, FL (The Spread) – The New England Patriots look to pick up a big win on the road on Sunday when they face the Miami Dolphins at 1PM ET on CBS.

New England is 10-3 on the season, 3-3 on the road and 6-7 against the spread. Miami is 7-6 overall, 3-3 at home and 8-5 against the spread. New England has won seven straight against Miami.

Trends show that the Patriots are 0-4 against the spread in their last 4 road games and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 after a win while Miami is 8-2 ATS in its last 10 home games.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Patriots are the favorite on the road, as they have odds of -2 points at Miami on Sunday. The over/under total for the game has been set at 45.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Patriots favored by 2.5 points. The spread dipped to 1 before moving back to 2 points. The over/under total hasn’t changed since opening at 45.5 points.

New England is coming off a 27-26 win at home over the Browns last week. It was New England’s third straight win and all three wins have been by 3 points or less with the Patriots trailing by double digits at one point in the game. Despite the win, New England lost tight end Rob Gronkowski to a season-ending knee injury. Tom Brady is leading the team this year with 3,685 yards passing and 21 touchdowns while Chandler Jones is leading the defense with 70 tackles and 10.5 sacks.

Miami is coming off a 34-28 win at Pittsburgh last week. The Dolphins have won two straight and their last two losses were by a combined 7 points. Miami is averaging 324.9 yards per game on offense while giving up 348.6 yards per game defensively. Ryan Tannehill has thrown for 3,315 yards and 20 touchdowns this year to lead the offense while Brian Hartline has 67 catches for 855 yards and four scores. The Miami defense is being led by Olivier Vernon, who has 48 tackles and 11.5 sacks.

In terms of Injuries, Miami cornerback Jamar Taylor (hamstring) is questionable for the game. New England cornerback Alfonzo Dennard (shoulder) and receiver Kenbrell Thompkins (hip) are also questionable.
