Week 15 Super Bowl Odds

(The Spread) – For weeks the Houston Texans have been favored to win the 2013 Super Bowl but everything changed on Monday night.

Following the Patriots’ 42-14 thrashing of the Texans on “Monday Night Football,” oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv have installed New England as a 13/4 favorite to win the 2013 Super Bowl. The Denver Broncos have the next best odds at 11/2, while the Texans and San Francisco 49ers are both 6/1, respectively. New England has won seven in a row, which is currently the second-best streak in the NFL behind Denver (which has won eight in a row).

Last week the Texans and Patriots were both 9/2 to win the Super Bowl, respectively, while the Broncos and 49ers were both 11/2, respectively. The Falcons were 15/2, the Packers were 9/1 and the Giants were 14/1. While Green Bay and New York both won their respective games in Week 14, Atlanta was destroyed by Cam Newton and the Panthers in Carolina.

Continuing with the current odds, the Packers are 15/2, the Falcons are 9/1 and the Giants are 10/1. The Seahawks are 20/1, the Ravens were 22/1 and the Steelers are 30/1. The Bears and Redskins are both 35/1, respectively, while the Cowboys and Colts are both 40/1, respectively.

Some intriguing long shots to keep an eye on are the Bengals at 75/1, the Vikings are 100/1, and the Jets and Rams are both 250/1. The Bucs are also 300/1, the Chargers are 500/1, and the Bills, Browns and Dolphins are all 1000/1 long shots.
