NFL Week 15 Opening Odds

2011 nfl week 15 point spreads opening odds over under totals

(The Spread) – The opening odds for Week 15 in the NFL are out, including the marquee matchup between the Patriots and Broncos on Sunday.

The action gets started this week with an AFC-NFC matchup in Atlanta. Fresh off their impressive come-from-behind victory against the Panthers in Carolina, the Falcons have opened as 11-point favorites over the Jaguars while the over/under total for that game is 42.5 points. The Falcons can move closer to securing a playoff berth with a victory.

As noted in the intro the best matchup is arguably in Denver this week, as the Broncos will host the Patriots at 4:15PM ET on Sunday. Despite the fact that Tim Tebow has completely turned around Denver’s season, the Broncos find themselves as 6.5-point home underdogs versus New England this weekend. The over/under total for this game has opened at 46.5 points.

On Sunday night, the desperate Chargers will look to make it three in a row when they host the Ravens at 8:20PM ET. San Diego’s fleeting playoff hopes are still alive but the Bolts must keep winning if they have any shot at sneaking into the playoffs. Baltimore has opened as a 2.5-point favorite in this game, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 43.5 points.

With Ben Roethlisberger’s injury situation up in the air, there is no line right now in the Steelers-49ers Monday night tilt, but this game is obviously worth noting. San Francisco already clinched a playoff berth last week when it won the NFC West but the Niners have a sour taste in their mouths after losing to John Skelton and the Cardinals in Week 14. It’ll be interesting to see if they can bounce back against a Pittsburgh team that is rolling towards a playoff berth but could be derailed if Big Ben’s ankle injury is a problem.
