McCoy uncertain, RG3 to start?
WASHINGTON, DC (The Spread) – The Washington Redskins may not have Colt McCoy available this Sunday because of a neck injury. If he is unable to play, Robert Griffin III will get the start.
The Redskins announced on Thursday that McCoy will start if he is medically cleared for the game, but it is uncertain if he will be following a neck injury he suffered last week against the Rams.
McCoy has appeared in four games this season, throwing for 1,018 yards while completing 71.9 percent of his passes. He has four touchdowns with two interceptions. Robert Griffin III has appeared in six games this season, throwing for 902 yards while completing 69.9 percent of his passes. He has two touchdowns passes with three interceptions.
Oddsmakers don’t see the Redskins having much success on Sunday, as oddsmakers from BetDSI currently have New York as a 6.5-point favorite against the Redskins. The over/under total is currently set at 47 points. Opening odds had the Giants favored by 7 and the spread was at a peak of 7.5 during the week.
