Cardinals vs. Seahawks Odds
SEATTLE, WA (The Spread) - NFC West rivals will clash in Seattle this Sunday when the Seahawks host the Cardinals at 4:25PM ET on Sunday.
ARIZONA: The Cardinals lost their eighth straight game last Sunday when they fell 7-6 to the Jets in New York. Rookie quarterback Ryan Lindley completed just 10-of-31 passes for 72 yards with one interception, while Beanie Wells was held to 22 yards on 15 carries. Larry Fitzgerald also led the Cardinals in receiving with a miniscule 23 yards on one catch, while Michael Floyd had two catches and 22 yards. The loss dropped Arizona’s record to 4-8 and 5-6-1 against the spread, but the Cards have covered in two of their last three games. With their playoff hopes long dashed, Ken Whisenhunt is turning back to John Skelton at quarterback.
SEATTLE: The Seahawks bounced back in a big way following their 24-21 loss to the Dolphins in Week 12 by beating the Bears 23-17 last Sunday. Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson was brilliant in the victory, completing 23-of-37 passes for 293 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He completed several long scoring drives, including the game-winning drive in overtime when he found Sidney Rice on a 13-yard pattern. Rice finished with 6 receptions for 99 yards and the one score, while Marshawn Lynch rushed for 87 yards on 19 carries. Wilson also added 71 yards on nine rushes. The victory improved the Seahawks’ record to 7-5 and 8-4 against the spread as they covered as a 5-point underdog. The Seahawks remain in the playoff hunt in the NFC and are battling several teams for the two wild card spots in the NFC.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Seahawks are 10-point favorites versus the Cardinals, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 36 points. Arizona is 4-8 overall and 1-5 on the road, while Seattle is 7-5 overall and 5-0 at home.
TRENDS: The under is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Seattle and the home team is 5-1 against the spread in the last six meetings between these two teams. The Cardinals are also 2-5 against the spread in their last seven trips to Seattle.
