PITTSBURGH, PA (The Spread) - The Steelers picked up a huge road win last weekend against the Ravens and will have an opportunity to win two straight when they host the hapless Chargers at 1:00PM this Sunday.
SAN DIEGO: The Chargers have now lost four straight games following their 20-13 loss to the Bengals last Sunday in San Diego. Philip Rivers completed 26-of-48 passes for 280 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, which came in the end zone and on San Diego’s final offensive play. Running back Ryan Mathews was also held to 26 yards on nine carries while Danario Alexander caught six passes for 102 yards and Michael Floyd finished with four grabs for 61 yards. The loss dropped San Diego to 4-8 overall and 5-7 against the spread as it failed to cover as a 1-point underdog. With the playoffs out of the question, the Chargers will play out the rest of the season and then determine the fate of head coach Norv Turner, who is likely to be fired in the offseason.
PITTSBURGH: Behind 37-year-old quarterback Charlie Batch, the Steelers picked up a huge road win in Baltimore last Sunday, as they beat the Ravens, 23-20.
