BALTIMORE: The Ravens are coming off a 23-20 loss to Pittsburgh last Sunday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Ravens. Baltimore has been held to 20 points or less in their last three games now. The Ravens had just 288 total yards and two turnovers on offense in the loss to the Steelers as Joe Flacco went 16 of 34 passing for 188 yards. Running back Ray Rice rushed for 78 yards in the game, but was given just 12 carries. Defensively, the Ravens haven’t been bad, but they are still banged up with a number of key players injured. Ray Lewis is already out with a triceps injury and Terrell Suggs is now dealing with a bicep injury that could keep him from playing.
WASHINGTON: The Redskins are coming off a 17-16 win over the Giants on Monday Night Football. Washington has now won three straight since a 3-6 start to the year. Washington is now just one game back of the Giants in the NFC East standings. In Monday’s win, Robert Griffin III didn’t have amazing stats, as he was just 13 of 21 passing for 163 yards, but he had a fourth-quarter TD pass and he also rushed for 72 yards on five carries. The Skins also got a big effort from running back Alfred Morris, who rushed for 124 yards on 22 carries. Defensively, Washington gave up 390 yards to the Giants and they are allowing nearly 300 passing yards per game this season. The Redskins’ secondary could get even worse this week with cornerback Cedric Griffin suspended and DeAngelo Hall dealing with an ankle injury.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Redskins are 1-point favorites versus the Ravens, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 47.5 points. Washington is 6-6 on the season, 3-3 at home and 7-5 against the spread. Baltimore is 9-3 overall, 5-1 at home and 5-6-1 against the spread.
