Dallas Cowboys Fantasy Spin
Amari Cooper (knee) was a full participant in practice Monday. Cooper’s MRI last Friday revealed there was no structural damage in his knee. The Cowboys’ No. 1 WR is fully expected to play his usual near every-down role Thursday night against the Bears. Cooper is set up well against a Bears defense that has yielded huge performances to elite WRs like Kenny Golladay (4-158-1), Michael Thomas (9-131-0) and Stefon Diggs (7-108-0) this season.
Chicago Bears Fantasy Spin
Anthony Miller caught 9-of-13 targets for 140 yards in the Bears’ Week 13 win over the Lions. Heating up over the past two weeks, Miller boiled over for a new career high in yards by 18. He came up huge on the game-winning drive for receptions of 11, 35 and 32 yards. The 35-yarder was an over-the-shoulder bucket grab. Now the Bears’ clear-cut No. 2 passing threat over Taylor Gabriel, Miller is trying to establish every-week WR4 value, but Mitchell Trubisky makes it difficult. The Cowboys are not a plus Week 14 matchup.
Dallas
The over is 6-1 in the Cowboys’ last seven games following an ATS loss and is 4-1 in their last five games as a road favorite.
Chicago
The under has cashed in five straight games in which the Bears were an underdog and is 8-1 in their last nine home games.
NFL Prediction
The Cowboys struggled offensively the past two weeks, scoring just 9 points versus the Patriots in Foxborough and 15 points at home last Thursday against the Bills. I don’t expect a turnaround tonight, as the ‘Boys will face a Chicago defense that hasn’t allowed more than 20 points in their last four games. The Bears, meanwhile, scored 24 points last Thursday against a bad Detroit defense, but were held to 20 or fewer points in their previous five games. Mitchell Trubisky continues to struggle and with no running game to help take the pressure off, I expect him to struggle again tonight. Maybe one of these teams reaches 20 points but I can’t see both getting over that mark. Give me the under.
