INDIANAPOLIS, IN (The Spread) – The Colts look to continue their run to the playoffs on Sunday when the host the Titans at 1PM ET on CBS in Week 14 of the NFL season.
TENNESSEE: The Titans are coming off a 24-10 loss at home to Houston last week to fall to 4-8 on the year. The Titans have now lost four of their last five games. The Titans actually outgained the Texans in the loss, 354-332 in total yards, but the Titans committed six turnovers in the loss. Jake Locker struggled, going 21 of 45 passing for 309 yards with three interceptions and two lost fumbles. On the season, the Titans are scoring just 20.7 points per game. Defensively, the Titans ranks second to last in the NFL in points allowed, as they are giving up 29.9 points per contest.
INDIANAPOLIS: The Colts pulled off a miraculous comeback win over Detroit last week, 35-33. The win is the sixth in the last seven games for Indy. Sunday’s win saw the Colts down 12 with four minutes to play, but Andrew Luck rallied the team and threw a pair of touchdown passes in the final minutes, including the game-winning score to Donnie Avery as time expired. Luck finished the game just 24 of 54 passing with three interceptions, but had 391 yards and four touchdowns to make up for the struggles. The Colts did struggle on defense, allowing 451 yards to the Lions. Indy currently ranks in the bottom half of the league in total defense, but Luck has shown he can lead the Colts to victory despite the defensive issues.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Colts are 5.5-point favorites versus the Titans, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 48 points. Indianapolis is 8-4 overall, 5-1 at home and 8-4 against the spread this season. Tennessee is 4-8 overall, 2-4 on the road and 4-8 against the spread.
