Seattle Seahawks DFS Spin
Russell Wilson completed 23-of-28 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks’ 28-21, Week 11 win over the Cardinals. Wilson added 10 rushes for 42 yards. Playing on a short week after turning the ball over seven times across his past two starts, Wilson was more contained as the Seahawks dialed up 31 rush attempts. It was a badly needed reset from the ‘Hawks, who surprisingly got after Kyler Murray on defense and just tried to keep the game in front of them on offense. The sub-200 yard passing effort was Wilson’s first of the season, though he has now provided multiple scores in 9-of-10 starts, with the lone exception being last week’s dismal loss to the Rams. For fantasy managers worried a more restrained Seahawks could become the norm down the stretch, they have a series of excellent matchups, beginning with the Eagles on 11 days rest in Week 12. Wilson will still be a top-three quarterback every week out.
Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin
Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said he has not considered benching Carson Wentz despite the quarterback’s immense struggles. Wentz was a total disaster in Week 11 against the Browns, throwing two picks — one that was returned for a touchdown — and taking five sacks. Wentz has thrown 14 interceptions in ten games, and has the fourth lowest adjusted completion rate in the NFL. Pederson seemed surprised by a reporter’s question about benching Wentz, blaming coaching for Wentz’s consistent struggles. Benching Wentz for second-round rookie Jalen Hurts would “send the wrong message to the football team that the season’s over,” he said. Still, fantasy managers in superflex leagues should go ahead and roster Hurts just in case Pederson comes to his senses in the season’s final six weeks.
