Vikings vs. Packers Week 13 Odds
GREEN BAY, WI (The Spread) – NFC North rivals battle in Green Bay this Sunday when the Vikings visit the Packers at 1:00PM ET. Let’s check out the matchup.
MINNESOTA: The Vikings could only muster 10 points versus Chicago’s stout defense in Week 12 as they fell 28-10 and failed to cover as a 6.5-point underdog. Christian Ponder completed 22-of-43 passes for 159 yards with one touchdown and one interception, while Adrian Peterson rushed 18 times for 108 yards. Kyle Rudolph caught five passes for 55 yards and one touchdown, but also suffered a concussion in the loss. The Vikings dropped to 6-5 on the season but their playoff hopes remain intact as they battle with Seattle, Tampa Bay and New Orleans (among others) for the sixth and final playoff spot in the NFC. They’re now 4-6-1 against the spread and have failed to cover in three of their last four games.
GREEN BAY: The Giants crushed the Packers 38-10 on Sunday Night Football last week, handing Green Bay its first loss in six games. Aaron Rodgers completed 14-of-25 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and one interception, and was constantly harassed by the Giants’ defensive line throughout the contest. Jordy Nelson also caught two passes for 71 yards and a 61-yard touchdown in the first quarter, while Jermichael Finley hauled in three passes for 51 yards. The loss dropped the Packers to 7-4 on the season and 5-6 against the spread. It also caused Green Bay to once again fall behind Chicago in the NFC North, as the Bears are now one-game up on the Pack for first-place in the division.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Packers are 9.5-point favorites versus the Vikings, while the over/under is currently sitting at 46.5 points. Minnesota is 6-5 overall and 1-4 on the road, while Green Bay is 7-4 overall and 4-1 at home.
TRENDS: The over is 4-0 in the last four meetings between these two teams in Green Bay and 7-1 in the last eight meetings overall. The Vikings are also 3-7 against the spread in the last 10 meetings between these two teams and 1-4 ATS in their last five trips to Green Bay. The favorite is also 7-3 against the spread in the last 10 meetings.
