Panthers vs. Browns Free Pick
The Cleveland Browns hope that they can stay competitive without rookie quarterback Colt McCoy, who will not play due to an injury. Will they even need him against a hapless Carolina Panthers team?
According to Week 12 NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com, the Browns are 10-point favorites over the Panthers on Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 37.5 points.
The Panthers are 1-9 overall and just 2-8 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re winless on the road at 0-4 and have failed to cover in three of their four games away from Bank of America Stadium.
The Browns are 3-7 and have only covered six of their first 10 games this season, but they’ve been competitive over the past month. They’re just 2-3 at home this year and have failed to cover in three of their five games at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Week 12 NFL Free Pick:
The Panthers are awful but we don’t trust Jake Delhomme (who will start in place of McCoy this week) as far as we can throw him. He has a penchant for keeping opponents in the game by turning the ball over and with the spread at 10, we don’t feel comfortable taking Cleveland. But since Carolina is brutal, we don’t recommend them either. The under is 5-0 in the Browns’ last five games in Week 12 and 5-1 in the Panthers’ last six games in the same week. The Panthers should get Jonathan Stewart back this week but given their issues at the quarterback position, we think this will be a low-scoring affair. Our pick is the under 37.5
