Eagles vs. Bears Free Pick
A pair of 7-3 teams will do battle at Solider Field on Sunday when the Chicago Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles at 4:15PM ET on FOX.
According to Week 13 NFL odds and oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com, the Bears are 3.5-point underdogs against the Eagles on Sunday. The over/under total for this game is currently 42.5 points.
The Eagles enter Sunday’s game with a 7-3 overall record but are just 5-5 against the spread according to latest NFL trends. They’re 4-1 on the road this year, however, and have covered in three of their five games away from Lincoln Financial.
As previously mentioned, the Bears are also 7-3 and are 5-4-1 against the number in 2010. They’re 3-2 at home this season but have failed to cover in three of their five games at Solider Field.
NFL Week 13 Free Pick:
The key to this game, as well as all Eagle games, is how their opponents will defense Michael Vick. Not that he played poorly last Sunday in a win over the Giants, but he definitely had his worst performance of the year. He still hasn’t thrown an interception this year, but the Giants’ pass rush was able to make him uncomfortable in the pocket and that allowed them to stay in it until the end. Julius Peppers hasn’t racked up a ton of sacks this year, but his impact has definitely been felt along the Bears’ defensive line. We think Chicago’s pass rush will contain Vick and keep this within a three-point game. The underdog is 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these two teams, while the Bears are 5-1 against the number in their last six games as an underdog. Our pick is the Bears +3.5.
