Steelers vs. Chiefs Pick

If the Pittsburgh Steelers hope to keep pace in the AFC North, they have to beat a bad Kansas City Chiefs team that is in turmoil.

Bet NFL Week 11

The Steelers were beaten by the Bengals 18-12 at home as a 7-point favorite last Sunday. The combined score went under the posted total of 41.5. Ben Roethlisberger threw for 174 yards with an interception in the loss, while Santonio Holmes caught seven passes for 88 yards.

The Chiefs beat the Raiders 16-10 as a 2.5-point underdog in Week 10. The combined score fell under the posted total of 36. Jamaal Charles rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries for the Chiefs, while Matt Cassel threw for 216 yards with an interception in the victory.

Oddsmakers from online sports book SBGGLOBAL.com have made the Steelers 10-point favorites over the Chiefs in Week 11. The over/under total for this game has been set at 40 points.

Kansas City receiver Dwayne Bowe was suspended four games by the NFL for abusing the league’s performance-enhancing policy. So without Bowe, Cassel won’t have his top receiver and the Chiefs won’t have their best offensive playmaker, which obviously isn’t a good thing when you’re facing a top defense like Pittsburgh has.

Pittsburgh has owned the trends in this series, as the Steelers are 9-2-1 against the spread in their last 12 games when playing Kansas City. The Chiefs are also 1-4 against the number in their last five games at home.

Normally we favor home teams getting points, but it’s hard to back the Chiefs knowing they can’t run the ball and will be without their top playmaker in Bowe. The Steelers need a win bad and Big Ben should have no problem moving the ball up and down the field on a suspect Kansas City secondary. As long as Mike Tomlin and company doesn’t get to pass-happy and continue to feed the ball to powerful running back Rashard Mendenhall, they should be fine.

Our free pick prediction for this game is the Steelers –10 and the under. The Chiefs are going to have a tough time scoring in this contest and the total should fall well under as Pittsburgh wins easily.

Our NFL Week 11 Free Pick for this matchup is: PITTSBURGH STEELERS -10 and UNDER 40.
