49ers vs. Packers Pick

Two teams look to renew their rivalry at Lambeau Field this Sunday when the Green Bay Packers host the San Francisco 49ers at 1:00PM ET.

Bet NFL Future Odds

The 49ers won a defensive struggle in Week 10, beating the Bears 10-6 on Thursday night as a 3-point favorite. The combined total went under the posted total of 43 points, while Frank Gore finished with 104 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries in the win.

The Packers surprised many bettors and pundits by beating the Cowboys 17-7 as a 3-point underdog in Week 10. The combined total went under the posted total of 48 points as Aaron Rodgers threw for 189 yards with a touchdown and Ryan Grant rushed for 78 yards on 20 carries.

Oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Packers 7-point home favorites over the 49ers in Week 11. The over/under total for this game has been set at 42 points.

The 49ers are just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games when playing on the road against Green Bay, but are 6-2-1 against the number in their last nine contests. On the flip side, the Packers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games.

The pubic might be high on the Packers after their performance last week, but Green Bay’s defense has been schizophrenic all season and it’s hard to assume that a team with as much offensive line trouble as this one blowing any opponent out – especially one as decent as San Fran.

The Niners have a good squad and play good defense so they’ll be in this one until the end. The only problem is that the Packers can stop the run and San Fran’s best weapon is running back Gore. If Alex Smith can strike for a couple of big plays through the air, the Niners might be able to pop Gore free on some decent runs.

Our free pick prediction for this game is San Francisco plus the seven and the under 42. We expect a tight game throughout, as well as a low scoring one.

Our NFL Week 11 Free Pick for this matchup is: SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS +7 and UNDER 42.
