Raiders vs. Bengals Week 12 Odds
CINCINNATI, OH (The Spread) – In search of their third straight win, the Bengals will host the lowly Raiders at 1:00PM ET on Sunday.
OAKLAND: The Raiders have been a disaster these past three weeks. They lost 42-32 to the Buccaneers at home, were then crushed 55-20 by the Ravens in Baltimore, and were drubbed 38-17 by the Saints in Oakland last Sunday. They’re now 3-7 overall and 3-7 against the spread, and haven’t covered the number in three straight games. Darren McFadden being out with an injury has killed their offense, although their defense has been the bigger problem. They’ve now allowed at least 38 points in three consecutive games and they don’t have enough talent to fix the problems that ail them. The 2012 season has officially become lost in Oakland.
CINCINNATI: Left for dead three weeks ago, the Bengals have rallied thanks to back-to-back wins over the Giants and Chiefs, respectively. Cincinnati snapped an ugly four-game losing streak with a 31-13 victory over the Giants two weeks ago and then went on the road last Sunday and blasted the Chiefs 28-6. They’re now 5-5 overall and 4-5-1 against the spread after covering in back-to-back games. Receiver A.J. Green has been on a tear recently, catching a touchdown pass in nine consecutive games. Andy Dalton has also turned his season around, as he’s playing with more confidence over the past two weeks. With Ben Roethlisberger expected to miss significant time in Pittsburgh, the Bengals can claw back into the playoff picture with another win on Sunday.
ODDS: According to oddsmakers from online sports book Bovada.lv, the Bengals are 9.5-point favorites over the Raiders, while the over/under total is currently sitting at 49 points. Oakland enters the game with a 3-7 overall record and is 1-4 on the road, while Cincinnati is 5-5 overall and 2-3 at home.
TRENDS: The under is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these two teams, while the home team is 4-1 against the spread in the last five meetings. The Raiders are 1-4 against the number in their last five games overall while the Bengals are 1-4-1 ATS in their last six home games.
