The Jacksonville Jaguars have climbed back into the race in the AFC South but they need to find a way to be more consistent. Can they beat the Cleveland Browns this Sunday in order to keep pace? Continue reading for our free pick on this Week 11 NFL contest.
According to latest NFL Odds, oddsmakers from online sports book Sportsbook.com have made the Jaguars a 1-point favorite over the Browns in Week 11. The over/under total for this game is currently 43.5 points.
After losing to the Jets last weekend in overtime, Colt McCoy and the Browns are 3-6 overall and have now failed to cover in five of their first nine games. They’re also 1-3 on the road and 2-2 against the number away from Cleveland according to latest NFL trends.
The Jaguars are 5-4 straight up this season and have covered in five of their first nine games. They’re also 3-2 at home and have covered in five of their nine games in EverBank Field.
Our Week 11 Free Pick:
Even though they lost last week, the Browns have turned some heads with their play of late. The Jaguars are also in the thick of things in the AFC South thanks to a dramatic victory against the Texans last Sunday in which David Garrard through a 50-yard Hail Mary touchdown pass to Mike Thomas as time expired. The side is too close to call, but we see value in the over with where the total is at. The over is 4-0 in the Browns’ last four games overall and 7-1 in the Jaguars’ last eight games versus the AFC. Neither of these teams are very explosive but yet they have managed to find the end zone with relative success over the past couple of weeks. We think this will be a back-and-forth game, which usually leads to plenty of scoring. Our pick is the over.
