This weeks Monday Night extravaganza pits a couple of interesting teams against one another. The Tennessee Titans have gotten off to a better start than mist would have figured at this point in the season, while the Broncos are suffering through one of their worst seasons in quite some time. However, the Broncos snapped a two game losing streak last week against Kansas City, while the Titans dropped their first game since the middle of October when they lost at Tampa Bay.

Oddsmakers from Bodog have made Denver –1  point spread favorites (View NFL Football odds) for Monday’s game, the over/under has been set at 38 total points (Game Matchup). Current public betting information shows that 55% of bets for this game have been placed on Tennessee +1 (View NFL Football bet percentages).

Tennessee will look to pull itself off the mat this evening after suffering what was a brutal loss to Jacksonville in their own house last Sunday. The defense really let them down in that spot against the one-dimensional Jags and surrendered 166 yards on the ground that allowed Jacksonville to run away with the game in the first half. QB Vince Young had a decent outing throwing the ball (24 of 41 for 247 yards), but the two picks he threw proved costly and was one of the main reasons the Jags got up big early. They also suffered some more bad news in the backfield as RB LenDale White got knocked out, and he’ll join RB Chris Brown as a member of the walking wounded this week.

As for Denver, the win in Arrowhead last week was much needed. They had just been rolled up and smoked by the Lions in Detroit and needed some kind of spark to get them on the right track. They got a huger performance out of rookie RB Selvin Young who rushed for 109 yards on 20 attempts, and the defense forced a crucial TO and returned it to the house to allow the Broncos to turn a 8-6 deficit at the half into a 20-8 lead less then 2-minutes into the 3rd quarter. The 14-point swing that took all of nine seconds took the wind out of the Chiefs/Arrowhead’s sails, and the Broncos cruised in the second half to pick up their fourth win of the season.

Denver has been tagged a short 2-point favorite in this spot, and they’ll more than likely be out to even up their record and pick up their first Monday night win of the season after dropping their Week 8 appearance to Brett Favre and the Packers in OT.
