Eagles vs. Redskins Odds
Donovan McNabb has something to prove to his new team and his old team on Monday Night Football as the Redskins host the Eagles.
The Eagles are 5-3 on the year and 3-1 on the road while the Redskins are 4-4 on the season and 2-2 at home. The Eagles are 10-4-1 against the spread in their last 15 games in Washington while the road team (Philadelphia) is also 6-1-1 ATS in the last eight games of this series.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook SBGGLOBAL.com have made Philadelphia a 3.5-point favorite on the road against Washington. The over/under has been set at 42.5.
Opening odds had Philadelphia favored by 3 and the spread has since added the hook. The over/under opened at 41.5 and that steadily climbed to 43.5 during the week before falling back to 42.5.
The Redskins are coming off a bye prior to a 37-25 loss at Detroit. McNabb was pulled in that game with just under two minutes to go and the Redskins behind by less than a touchdown. That has been the story for the last two weeks leading up to Monday night’s game. McNabb has thrown for 1,971 yards and seven touchdowns on the season, but also has eight interceptions. Ryan Torain has rushed for 391 yards and three scores for Washington in replace of the injured Clinton Portis, while Santana Moss had 48 catches for 604 yards and two touchdowns. LaRon Landry has 76 tackles to lead the defense while DeAngelo Hall has 63 tackles and six interceptions.
The Eagles are coming off a win over Indianapolis last week. The Eagles have won all three games where Michael Vick has started and finished the game this year. Vick has thrown for 1,017 yards and seven touchdowns this season without an interception. He also has rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns. LeSean McCoy has rushed for 572 yards and five touchdowns while Jeremy Maclin has caught 506 yards receiving and six touchdowns. Trent Cole is leading the defense with 39 tackles and seven sacks.
Portis is considered doubtful for Monday’s game with a groin injury while Philadelphia defensive back Nate Allen is doubtful with a neck injury. Guard Max Jean-Gilles is also questionable for Monday’s game for the Eagles due to a concussion.
Over 47,000 public bets have been made on Monday night’s game and the Eagles are getting 76% of the wagers at -3.5 against the Redskins.
