BUFFALO, NY (The Spread) – The New York Jets look to stay in the playoff picture on Sunday when they hit the road to face the Buffalo Bills at 1PM ET on CBS.

New York is 5-4 on the season, 1-3 on the road and 6-3 against the spread. Buffalo is 3-7 overall, 2-3 at home and 5-5 against the spread. The home team has won four straight in this series.

Trends show that the Jets are 6-2 against the spread in their last 8 meetings with the Bills and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 trips to Buffalo. These two have hit the over in 5 of their last 7 meetings.

The Jets are coming off a bye week last week, but beat the Saints, 26-20 two weeks ago. The Jets have alternated wins and losses all season. New York is averaging 331.2 yards per game on offense, while allowing 325.2 yards per game on defense. Quarterback Geno Smith has thrown for 1,997 yards and eight touchdowns, but has 13 interceptions. The defense is being led by Muhammad Wilkerson, who has eight sacks and 31 tackles.

Buffalo is coming off a 23-10 loss at Pittsburgh last week. The Bills have now lost three straight and five of their last six. Buffalo is averaging just 332.9 yards per game on offense, while giving up 355.9 yards per game on defense. E.J. Manuel returned at quarterback last week. He has 1,140 yards passing and six touchdowns this season. Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller have combined for 1,058 yards rushing and seven touchdowns, while Mario Williams is leading the defense with 11 sacks.

In terms of Injuries, Buffalo cornerback Justin Rogers (knee) and receiver Stevie Johnson (groin) are both questionable for the game. New York receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) and safety Oday Aboushi (knee) are also questionable.
