Oddsmakers from online sports book BroburySports.com have made the Jaguars a 1-point favorite over the Texans in Week 10. The over/under total for this game is currently 49.5 points.
The Texans enter Sunday’s game with a disappointing 4-4 record. Even though they’re at .500, much more was expected from this team – especially after they manhandled the Colts in Week 1. Houston is just 3-5 against the spread this season, but its 2-1 against the number on the road.
The Jaguars are also 4-4 but their fan base has to be pleasantly surprised with the record seeing as how their team wasn’t supposed to compete this season. Jacksonville is also 4-4 against the spread, which includes a 2-2 record at EverBank Field.
Our Week 10 NFL Free Pick:
The Texans boast the league’s leading rusher in Arian Foster but for some reason they can’t stay consistent on offense. In fact, neither of these teams have been very consistent this year, which is why their record suits them nicely.
Our pick is Jacksonville minus the points. Houston has the worst pass defense in the league, allowing 298.3 yards per game through the air. Jacksonville’s defensive isn’t much better (28th/267.1 passing yards per game), but they have the edge playing at home. They’re also well rested after having their bye last week and are playing with some confidence after manhandling the Cowboys two weeks ago in Dallas. They’re also 7-1 against the spread in their last eight games in Week 10.
