NFL Week 10 Free Picks

nfl week 10 free picks predictions odds trends

(The Spread) – Two favorites, one dog and one total caught our eye in Week 10. Check out our free picks for this Sunday’s NFL games.

We may want to change the name of this article to “Free Fade Picks & Predictions” because our NFL selections have been brutal the last two weeks.

Following an 0-4 Week 8, we went 1-3 in Week 9 as our lone cover came on an outright win by the Dolphins over the Chiefs. Our other picks, Colts (+7), Bills (-1) and Chargers (+5.5) all fell flat. The dropped our season record to 16-19-1 against the spread.

So follow this week at your own risk or fade at will. The choice is yours.

Steelers @ Bengals, 1:00PM ET

The Bengals have been a gem for bettors that have supported them throughout the year, as they’re 6-2 straight up and 7-1 against the spread. That said, the only time they failed to cover this season was against the 49ers, who held Andy Dalton and Co. to 8 points in a 13-8 Week 3 victory. Cincinnati’s defense has been solid all season but its about to be challenged by Ben Roethlisberger and a receiving corps that can flat out fly. James Harrison and the Pittsburgh defense should be plenty steamed after allowing a last-second touchdown to Baltimore last week in a crushing defeat. If the line were set at 4 or higher, the Bengals would be worth a long look. But the Steelers are 8-1-1 against the spread in their last 10 trips to Cincinnati and the road team is 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 overall meetings. Look for the Steelers to bounce back this week.

Rams @ Browns, 1:00PM ET

This might be the least attractive game to cover but it also might hold the most value. The Rams are a bad football team, plain and simple. They may have played with a lot of passion in their win over the Saints two weeks ago but that was essentially their season. For the second straight week St. Louis will have to travel and are coming off a heartbreaking loss last Sunday against Arizona (which blocked a game-winning field goal as time expired and also returned a 99-yard punt for the game-winning score). The Browns aren’t any better on paper but there’s value in Cleveland because the spread is staying below the key number of 3. The Rams are 0-6 against the number in their last six road games and 0-5 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog.

Titans @ Panthers, 1:00PM ET

The Panthers have been betting darlings all season, as they’ve covered the spread in five of their first eight games. But they’re 1-2 against the number in their last two games, which included a 24-21 loss to the Vikings as a 3-point favorite in Week 8. The Titans are fighting to keep pace in the AFC South and quite frankly, they’re a notch above the Panthers talent-wise. There’s more than enough film on Cam Newton for opposing defensive coordinators to slow him down. Look for Tennessee to win outright.

Giants @ 49ers, 4:15PM ET

Both of these teams have the ability to score but Frank Gore will be hobbled for San Francisco and the Niners have played outstanding defensively all season. I could see Eli Manning and the New York offense struggling after producing yet another fourth-quarter comeback last week in a win over New England. This certainly isn’t a letdown game for the Giants, who could be battling the 49ers the rest of the year for a bye in the first round of the playoffs. But having to fly cross-country after winning last Sunday in New England will be tough. This could be a defensive struggle throughout.
