NEW ORLEANS, LA (The Spread) – The New Orleans Saints look to bounce back from last week’s loss when they host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday at 8:30PM ET.

New Orleans is 6-2 on the season, 4-0 at home and 5-3 against the spread. Dallas is 5-4 overall, 1-3 on the road and 7-2 against the spread. The road team has won four of the last five in this series and the Saints have won seven of the last eight.

Trends show that the underdog has covered the spread in eight straight in this series and the road team is 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 against New Orleans. New Orleans has hit the over in 10 of their last 12 games against a team with a winning record.

According to oddsmakers from Bovada.lv, the Saints are favored at home, as they have odds of -6 points against the Cowboys on Sunday night. The over/under total for the game has been set at 53.5 points (View Matchup). The opening odds for this game had the Saints favored by 7 points. The spread climbed to 7.5 before falling back to 6. The over/under total opened at 52.5 points and peaked at 54 before falling back to 53.5.

New Orleans is coming off a surprising 26-20 loss at the Jets. The Saints have now lost two of their last three games after starting 5-0. The Saints are averaging 398.4 yards per game on offense, while giving up 333.2 yards per game defensively. Quarterback Drew Brees has thrown for 2,672 yards and 21 touchdowns to lead the offense, while Jimmy Graham has caught 49 passes for 746 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Dallas is coming off a 27-23 win over Minnesota at home. The Cowboys have won three of their last four with their lone loss coming by one point. Dallas is giving up 419.2 yards per game right now on defense and posting just 342.8 yards per game, but they are somehow finding ways to win games. Tony Romo has 2,553 passing yards with 20 touchdowns while Dez Bryant has 51 receptions for 705 yards and eight touchdowns.

In terms of Injuries, New Orleans defensive end Cameron Jordan (ankle) and safety Roman Harper (knee) are both questionable. Dallas receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) is doubtful and defensive tackle Jason Hatcher (neck) is questionable.
