Bears vs. Bills Odds
The Buffalo Bills have been getting close to getting their first win of the season and they will look to do just that on Sunday when they host the Chicago Bears.
Buffalo is 0-7 on the year and 0-3 at home while the Bears are 4-3 on the season and 2-1 on the road. The home team is 4-0 against the number in the last four meetings between these two teams, so maybe the Bills will get their first victory of the season.
Oddsmakers from online sportsbook Sportsbook.com have made Chicago a 3-point favorite on the road against the Bills. The over/under point total has been set at 41.
Opening odds had Chicago favored by 2.5 points and the spread has since moved up to 3. The over/under opened at 41 and dipped to 40.5 during the week before settling back at 41.
The Bills are 0-7 but have been very competitive as of late, losing their last two games by three points. On the season, the Bills have five losses by 10 points or less. Ryan Fitzpatrick has played well at quarterback, throwing for 1,200 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Steve Johnson has been a hot receiver, catching 30 passes for 409 yards and six touchdowns on the year. Donte Whitner has 65 tackles to lead the defense while Kyle Williams has added 36 tackles and three sacks.
The Bears are coming off a bye last week, but lost their last two prior to that, with both games being in Chicago. The Bears haven’t scored more than 27 points in a game, but have held teams to no more than 23 points as well. Jay Cutler has thrown for 1,483 yards but has seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. Matt Forte has rushed for 352 yards and three scores while Johnny Knox has 24 receptions for 478 yards. Brian Urlacher is leading the defense with 46 tackles and two sacks while Israel Idonije has five sacks.
Newly added linebacker Shawne Meeriman is not expected to play for Buffalo on Sunday while linebacker Andra Davis is out with a shoulder injury. For Chicago, tight end Desmond Clark is questionable with a neck injury while linebacker Lance Briggs is probable with an ankle injury.
Under 15,000 public bets have been placed on this game and Buffalo is getting 53% of the wagers at +3 against Chicago.
